If ‘Gandhi’ was made in 2016…

With its proposition of 'Woh Zamaana Kare Deewana', Zee Classic is India's only Hindi movie channel that endeavors to recreate the magic of iconic classics and new age cinema by showcasing not just the films that shaped Indian cinema but also acquaint viewers with the creative talent who were a part of that timeless era. In order to mark the occasion of India’s 70th year of independence, Zee Classic premieres

One of the most iconic films of all times, Gandhi (1982) was produced and directed by Richard Attenborough and written by John Briley. Starring Ben Kingsley, Rohini Hattangadi, Edward Fox, Roshan Seth, amongst others. The story is that of an Indian lawyer who returned from racially segregated South Africa to drive the British out of his home country through successive acts of non-violent protest. The portrayal of how simplicity and the power collectivism can throw over a whole British empire bringing them to their knees.

As Zee Classic gears up to premiere ‘Gandhi', this Saturday, on 13th August at 8 PM in ‘India’s Finest Films’ and on Monday, 15th August at 9:30 AM, we wonder who would be a part of this classic if it was to be re-made in 2016!

Director

1982 : Sir Richard Attenborough had the ability and talent to accommodate a person’s entire lifespan in a couple of hours. He did a phenomenal job right from the research to bringing alive the legacy of the father of our nation on big screen.

2016: AshutoshGowarikar known for his love for historical films and bringing lost eras to life with Lagaan, Jodha Akbar and Swadesh, is undoubtedly our choice to direct this film today.

Mahatma Gandhi

1982: Ben Kingsley played the role of Mahatma Gandhi in the movie.

2016: Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan is the man for the job. Known for his chameleon skills to adapt to various roles and characters combined with his attention to detail, Aamir Khan should play the role of our beloved Baapu.

Kasturba Gandhi

1982: RohiniHoattangadi, beautifully portrayed Kasturba Gandhi, wife of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.

2016:Kajol, one of India’s most acclaimed actresses can easily pull off the role of Baa.

General Dyer

1982: Edward Fox is etched in our minds as the dreadful and shrewd General Dyer who was hated by all for his infamous JallianwalaBagh massacre.

2016: Tom Alter with his international looks and versatile talent can be General Dyer in ‘Gandhi’.

Jawahar Lal Nehru

1982: Roshan Seth played the role of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru to perfection.

2016: The Nawab of Bollywood, Saif Ali Khan wins hands down with his charming royal looks.

Sardar Patel

1982:Saeed Jaffery pulled off the role of The Iron Man of India, Sardar Patel flawlessly.

2016: PareshRawal’s known for his diverse character roles makes him our choice to play the part.

Mohammad Ali Jinnah

1982:AlyquePadamsee brought to life an important historic figure, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, popularly known as the father of Pakistan in history

2016: Irrfan Khan, a global Indian will surely cut ice in this role.

Lord Mountbatten

1982: Peter Harlowe played the part with the sternness of a bureaucrat and an attitude on his face.

2016:The suave, Rajat Kapoor has our vote to play the last viceroy of the British Indian Empire.

Whether it was 1982 or 2016, the story of the man who brought India independence needs to be told and needs to be heard!

Tune-in to Zee Classic to watch Richard Attenborough directed ‘Gandhi’ on this Saturday, 13th August at 8 PM and Monday, 15th August at 9:30 AM

TEA!

Just the name itself is enough to bring back so many wonderful memories. And not to forget the lovely aroma that fills the nostrils as you bring the piping hot glass of tea near to the lips.

Tea is my constant support and a companion. That hot cup of tea is the witness to all my struggles, pains, agony and also a witness to all the happiness, joy and laughter.

Right from my school days, burning the midnight oil for the board exams till the present, Tea has seen me in my good and bad days. And so do those friends with whom I have had the pleasure to share my cup of tea with.

I would stretch my back, take a sip of the tea and get back to preparing myself for both, tenth and twelfth board exams. During those days, tea was my bread and butter, and probably it still is. The high that tea gives me, no other drink ever can.

When in college, I clearly remember that the tea at the corner of the road was much better than the tea at my college canteen. So, I along with my two friends would sip tea, talk about anything under the sun, but studies. We would talk about politics in general, our dreams, listen to songs and mingle around watching others pass by, holding the glass of tea in our hands. And occasionally, very occasionally talk about girls. Yes, we were like that.

But, this bunch got separated after the completion of our graduation as we embarked on different journeys. The days of my MBA was no different. The mornings were spent in the classroom and the afternoons in the canteen, sipping hot cups of ginger and masala tea. I clearly remember, that spilled tea on our important project note, those moments when we had our arguments on projects and joyances upon scoring good marks, which we celebrated first by having our cups of tea. "Bore ho raha hain, chal chai peke aate hain", used to be our staple line when we had nothing, yet everything to do during the post graduation.

Even today, sitting on my desk, glued to the computer screen, Tea still is the silent witness to all that is going on my mind. For that fresh idea to come flying across, for that important review meeting or for that matter, some important grapevine to be shared. There are numerous times when I along with my colleague would venture out towards that tea stall behind my office premises and simply enjoy the tea, in all silence. Sometimes, I along with my team would gang up at the canteen floor, holding the tea cups in our hand and chatting like we used to in our college days.

So here's raising a toast to all my dear friends, with our hands up in the air, holding that glass of tea, with all smiles and creating some good memories.

Thousands of businesses, products and services are launched everyday across the world. When these products go live, a Press Release (like the one you’re currently reading) is usually the first order of business. Businesses of various sizes, including start-ups, can now have their Press Releases published by relevant influencers in less than 72 hours.

IndiPR.com was built to make it extremely simple for a business to get their Press Releases published by top bloggers. All a business has to do is upload their Press Release and the ‘Automated Influencer Targeting Engine’, or ‘AITE’ for short, proceeds to accept applications and automatically shortlists bloggers based on various factors including internal ratings and rankings. Once shortlisted, the influencers do their research and publish their articles.

Anoop Johnson, Co-founder & Director of Marketing at IndiBlogger, adds, “With a starting budget of just USD 150, a business of any size will be able to get their press releases published by influential bloggers with a few clicks.”

IndiPR.com assists digital marketers with a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, SEO, content marketing, generating awareness and gaining much needed conversations around the product, driven by internet users on influencer platforms like blogs.

One of the main issues that most marketers face when working with influencers is the cumbersome process associated with identifying and targeting each Influencer. Karthik DR, Co-founder &Business Head at IndiBlogger says, “The amount of time that people spend in trying to identify and contact influencers is huge. With IndiPR.com, you don't have to worry about any of this as the system just needs your Press Release. The rest is history!”

In the future, IndiPR.com will carry more than just Press Releases. Influencers will be able to get creative assignments, get invitations to attend the trendiest launch events and be privy to the latest news on the planet before the world wakes up to it.

RenieRavin, the Founder and CEO of IndiBlogger, says, “We believe that this system will help Influencers with fresh and new content on their site every day. In a way, you could be writing about the next Google without even realising its immense potential.”

The dawn of the digital era has positively impacted India the most, out of all developing nations. By 2020, it is estimated that five billion people will be online, representing two-thirds the population of the planet. India is expected to be the biggest contributor to those numbers, for over a billion people in India still aren’t connected to the Internet! A plethora of start-ups, web companies and digital marketers have emerged through this decade of metamorphosis from India to Digital India. The redundancy of methodology adopted by 85% of these web companies has rendered a hideous display of design, development and content on the Internet. Those antiquated methods are conspicuous in legions of projects fabricated by the conventional, insipid ‘Infotech’ companies in India. Experience is a major strand of their sales. They sure are experienced, yes, but not in what it takes to craft the modernistic. Consider this- The manufacturer of the first ever mobile phone that came with a long antenna might be the most experienced man in that niche, but that doesn’t mean you will buy it now, does it?

Objective considerations of contemporary phenomena compel the conclusion that great web design exhibits the seamless blend of purpose, navigation, responsiveness, clarity and effects, all of which are deficient in most projects. Binary Caves, is a web, app development, social media and graphic designing firm constituted by accomplished professionals in Mumbai, that deliver a la mode and modernistic products.
Here are 5 factors that set Binary Caves apart from the rest and contribute to them becoming the fastest growing web company in India-
1. Content

An often overlooked yet considerable element that must invariably be taken into account is content. Content is to a website what an artist’s palette is to a canvas. The last thing you want to do is hire someone linguistically challenged penning what your consumer may read! Especially in India, the number of agrammatic websites lounging about the Internet is frightening. Binary Caves has a separate team that overlooks the content of a project with painstaking precision, simplicity, clarity and elegance.
2. Responsive Design (“Mobile Friendly”)
Have you ever opened a website on your phone to a miniscule desktop version and you had to zoom in to click on the buttons? The solution to that has long been found, even if it eludes some of our veterans. Responsive design basically means that the layout of the website will adjust itself to any device, be it a mobile or smart television, in order to provide optimal viewing by using fluid, proportion based grids, CSS3 media queries and flexible images. Binary Caves fabricates websites commensurate with the modern standards of responsive design, giving your viewers a great experience on all devices, be it phones, tablets or televisions.
3. Elements of Modern Web Design

Times have evolved since HTML was invented and you thought it was an achievement to know how to send an email. The elements of modern web design when incorporated thoughtfully render a spellbinding spectacle, accentuating the beauty of the Internet and improving the potential visitor’s experience. Binary Caves makes full use of these – from parallax scrolling,  j-query effects to large typographic elements. The image above provides a small look into their arsenal.
4. Custom Featured Images
Although it is commonplace to relate graphic design with print media, it is an essential aspect of effective web design. Products don’t sell, good images of products sell. Content is an intrinsic part of web design, but it can easily be brushed aside for a beautifully shot and edited photograph. Pictures induce emotion, which is worth its weight in gold. Binary Caves believes in effectively explaining the innovation you bring with tantalizing pictures.
5. Free SEO and SMO for 30 Days
Fabricating a website doesn’t really solidify your business online, marketing it does! Binary Caves treats every project they undertake as their own and build an entire online presence of your business. From submitting your sitemap to search engines, to integrating all professional social media handles into your website, Binary Caves does everything to construct an online marketing foundation.

This post is a testament to Binary Caves’ unparalleled service, and we request you to share this on your social media accounts for it is a step forward in making India Digital. You are also entitled to a 30% discount (Valid before 31st April) should you choose Binary Caves as your online partner! This discount can be availed by scanning this QR code

Winds - The leaves started to inhale deeply, fluttering in happiness and swayed showcasing the merry face. Just beneath the leaves, near the huge and heavy trunk of the trees were the army of ants. Suddenly all of them squeezed into a tiny hole underneath the tree and heaved a sigh of relief.

Change - Far across on a busy street lay a beggar resting his back on the walls of a huge commercial complex. Being a weekday evening time, he saw many feet walking pass him without even acknowledging his presence. Barely having anything to eat, his heart was already tired of crying and moaning alone in silence. Just then a person came from inside the building, took the man along with him, inside the huge cafeteria of the company and offered him a cup of tea with biscuits along with a job of a security guard.

Image & Perception - Faraway in a rickety room of a rickety building a couple made love. He to quench his thirst, she to meet the expenses of sending her child to school. A few days later the child was offered a scholarship. She now sells vegetables at a market and enjoys a comfortable living away from that rickety room and building into a whole new world of happiness.

On the day, someone thought of waving some wand of sorts by blowing some cool breeze thereby being an agent of change.

So who am I?
I am an agent of change.

Sometimes for the good, sometimes for the better.

Sometimes for the betterment of someone while sometimes not.

Change is constant. Change is always across or in front of us. Sometimes we are the direct recipient of it, sometimes not. Sometimes we don't even realize that somethings around us are about to change or rather have changed. So whatever it is, be ready to accept change. You never know when and who can be your agent of change!

Voyagers Into the Unknown
by
Ruchira Khanna

Blurb
In the historic Indian town of Agra, you can find a very unusual tour company, which is owned by a charming young man named Raj. Although Raj's official job is to show off the historical landmarks of Agra, including the legendary Taj-Mahal, his true mission is to heal the souls of his broken "birds," as he affectionately refers to his tour participants. His business operates purely upon word-of-mouth referrals, ensuring that all of his tour members arrive in Agra with their hearts in their hands, ready for the spiritual growth and cleansing that Raj is known to provide. Healing the hearts of the spiritually damaged can be a difficult job, and in this particular tale, Raj finds himself faced with his most challenging tour group yet. First, there is Ira, a stunningly gorgeous but fragile young woman on the brink of suicide. Next, we meet Darci and Lennard, a couple on the verge of divorce. Then there is Carl, an irritable, antisocial workaholic who has burned all of his bridges. Lastly, we meet Asha, an elderly widow who still yearns for the company and comfort of her late husband. When disaster strikes the tour group, everything is thrown into jeopardy, including lives, relationships, and Raj's very reputation as a tour guide. Raj must find a way to lift the spirits of these five special travelers, even in the face of death and despair. Venture into the unknown and discover how Raj Touristry heals the brokenhearted, one soul at a time.

Excerpt
Dawn had risen over the historic Indian town of Agra. Agra was a city of monuments, which stood tall, their unmatched grandeur telling of their long and fascinating history. The morning air was filled with the sounds of roosters calling, birds chirping, and morning prayers and salutations. Dogs and cows were being hustled through the streets and errand boys on bicycles hurried along to their respective chores and deliveries.

Amidst this vibrant chaos, a man in his late thirties with an athletic physique, broad shoulders, and unkempt black hair was briefing his colleague in a quiet, affable tone. He held a bunch of papers in his hand, and the other man nodded obediently as he glanced through them, making notes on the pad in his hands. “So, are you all set?” inquired Raj, the black-haired man.

“I think so,” replied the other man confidently, as he took his seat behind the wheel of a mini-bus.

“Call me if you have any questions, Albert. You know where to reach me,” added Raj as he shut the door of the driver’s seat, giving his driver two thumbs up. Albert started the engine quickly and began to roll away from the curb. He was abruptly halted by a sharp knock on the door of the vehicle. The driver slammed on the brakes and looked to see who was doing the hammering. Raj reappeared on the other side of the glass with blank boards and a sharpie. Albert opened the door and reached out for the additional items. “Write the names of my birds on these planks. It will be easier for them to spot you,” explained Raj.

“Birds?” inquired Albert with a confused expression.

“Sure, Birds. Since they will fly back to where they are coming from in a week’s time.”

“Aha! Yes, boss!” Albert winked and started his journey.
