Review: The moment Ravi Subramanian had announced his next to be a different one from his usual banking thrillers, I was waiting for an opportunity to grab the book. Sooner than later, I caught up to The Bestseller She Wrote and I must say, I am pretty much impressed from the author's transition from banking thrillers to romantic thrillers. Although the teasers and promotion made me feel that the book is of the romantic genre, but after having read the book, it didn't matter to me as I liked what I was reading.

The story is about dreams, ambitions, jealousy and love, lust and longing told in a fine way that only master storyteller can ever tell. The language is simple and easy to connect which makes it effortless to read this huge book without missing any part of the plot. The writing is such that I could clearly visualize what's going on in front of my eyes, just like watching a movie. Such is the narration, crisp and to the point that it doesn't give the readers even a second to think something else apart from the what the reader is reading.

The references to real life people, Chetan Bhagat, Ashwin Sanghi, Rakesh Maria, Vaishali Mathur makes the story even more interesting. I wonder if the author hadn't mentioned those names would the story be anything different? I feel so. Somewhere these names did gave a small impact and a big fillip to the story. This does bring up a question in mind - How much is fiction and how much is real? and this is where, I liked the book.

The narration, the characterization of each and every character, subtle twists and a mega climax makes the book an amazing read. Although, I did feel that somewhere the story is bit stretched and the book could be reduced by 20-30 pages but never-mind as long as I did get entertained that I actually missed alighting my station while reading in the train. 

Overall: If you want to read a romantic thriller, The Bestseller She Wrote has to be the book. It has all the necessary ingredients to keep you hooked till the very end.
